Simplon’s Microsoft Cloud School is hosting its first class from the Lyon – News Center

Issy-les-Moulineaux, June 1, 2022-After the first two promotions deployed in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Ile de France) and Castelnau-le-Lez (Occitanie), Microsoft France and its historical partner this Simplon is Simplon’s first Microsoft Cloud School in Lyon, Cloud Administrator course. With the support of the region and Pôle emploi Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the project brings together 9 partner companies-Devoteam, Exakis, Expertime, Hardis, Inetum, SCC, Squadra, TeamWork, Visiativ-together with Microsoft, to support digital transformation of the region thanks to the training of 19 students.

A new path specific to the Cloud

Microsoft has been committed to equal opportunity and better digital access for several years. Deployed in 2020, Microsoft Cloud School offers Simplon to follow, while 18 monthsfree training for Cloud Developer or Cloud Administrator job trainees.

Accessible without diploma conditions or technical requirements to promote equal opportunities, the training, agnostic, prepares students to use all the technologies present in the market. In addition, passing Microsoft certifications, recognized in cloud technologies, are directly integrated into courses to meet the needs of companies.

In Lyon, the school consists of 19 students, including 20% ​​women. 60% of them have BAC or infra-BAC level and the average age is 28 years old. The first promotion from Lyon will be followed by Cloud Administrator coursethe 2ika most sought after jobs in the digital sector in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, according to LinkedIn and Indeed platform observatory.     • Camille De Sousa38 years old, who wanted to retrain in the digital professions after 20 years of professional experience as an administrative assistant and when she stopped her studies after the Bac. Or of:
    • Siefeleslam Khalifa28, came to France 4 years ago and has a Master’s degree in Sociology and Psychology, intending to continue training as a Cloud administrator after his first job as a computer system and network technician.

The training will take place over a period of 6 months of intensive course followed by 12 months of work-studyto partner companies that support the program: Devoteam, Exakis Nelite, Expertime, Hardis, Inetum, SCC, Squadra, TeamWork, Visiativ and allows obtaining a RNCP title “DevOps System Administrator” level 6 from the Ministry of Labor.

The Microsoft by Simplon Cloud Schools initiative is based on the mobilization of many stakeholders: Pôle emploi for identifying candidates, the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region and OPCO to co-finance the program as well as the ecosystem of partner companies that receive apprentices on a work-study basis. All of these players combine in common values ​​where innovation responds to diversity and inclusion.

Supporting the feminization of digital professions

Along with the training, Microsoft also wants to confirm its commitment to the feminization of digital professions by supporting SAS hackers in Lyon : this prequalification program is managed by Simplon and is intended for women so that they can prepare for their entry into the next IA School promotion.

Of a period of 6 to 7 weeksthe SAS, which just finished 1eh June, is positioned at the top of professional training courses to enable women to discover the career opportunities offered by digital technology.
