Sonic Origins is a compilation of the first Sonic games in remastered versions with bonus features and various modes. This means that it’s not emulation, as we saw in old Sonic games from SEGA, but instead reworked versions running under a new machine. Basically it should ensure good fluidity. In addition, we know that the game will have additional animations and the opening and closing credits will be reviewed and corrected. The new version of Sonic 3 (& Knuckles) available in the compilation was made by Simon Thomley, to whom we owe the superb Sonic Mania.
What is the content of this compilation?
Production sign SEGA will offer to play Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD. These apps can be browsed in Classic or Anniversary mode.
