In 2017, Élodie and Alex Jumelin along with their two children Nathan and Gabin – the third of whom was born three years ago – returned from the United States to live in France. So there is no question of going back to Paris where they came from. The small family then chose Baillargues, a perfect place for Alex to pursue his extraordinary career at BMX Flat and open the Fise Academy. A common will was built with the mayor of the city and Hervé André-Benoit, founder of Fise. “The planets are aligned, Alex Jumelin recalls. It was a story of encounters and opportunities. I had royal training conditions compared to other riders. I always found it easier to train in a designated room. From a young age, he was Jumelin, now 44 years old and a recent silver medalist in the X-Games, has always had a desire to send in. Then he created a school of his discipline.

Today, about fifty riders, more than half from Baillargues, have stepped up to engage with the BMX Flat legend. “Transmission is exchange, he exclaims. Alex Jumelin shared his passion within Fise Academy with the younger generation and the family. Her children Nathan (18) and Gabin (15) are also fond of Flat. “They train with me, but also outside to become even better, he continues. Well established in the landscape, Fise Academy will soon have children. Projects will see the light of day this summer. A BMX Park and scooter academy will emerge from the ground in Baillargues with a skate park to be inaugurated on July 2nd. “The Fise Academy also aims to thrive in France and around the world, Alex Jumelin completed. Mélissa Droll, the fruit of training
